WNBA National Champions Las Vegas Aces Tip-Off 2023 Season

In a city now brimming with thrilling professional sports teams, it is the women of the NBA (WNBA) who brought home Las Vegas’ first national championship in 2022.

Along the way, the team cleaned up on the individual awards including Coach of the Year: Becky Hammon; Most Valuable Player: A’ja Wilson; Defensive Player of the Year: A’ja Wilson, and Most Improved Player of the Year: Jackie Young. This was only the fourth time in WNBA history that a team had the MVP, Coach of the Year, and won the title in the same year.

As the 2023 WNBA season kicks off, the Aces’ high-powered off-season maneuvers bring a promise for more breathtaking step-back jumpers, 3-pointers, bank shots, and hopefully a championship repeat! The team has added to its already strong roster with two-time MVP Candace Parker, two-time WNBA champion Alysha Clark, Australian center Cayla George and free-agent Kiah Stokes.

The team will play 19 home games during the regular 2023 season at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and one game on September 10, 2023 at T-Mobile Arena against the Phoenix Mercury. Davis recently announced that seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has acquired an ownership stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces! The Aces are in their 27th year as a WNBA franchise team. Under the leadership of Coach Becky Hammon, the 2022 championship was the first for the franchise. Hammon is the first in WNBA history to win a title in her debut season as a head coach.
