No place parties like Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve! The biggest collection of pyrotechnics will no doubt be seen on the Strip for “America’s Party 2023/24”. And just a few minutes north in downtown Las Vegas, visitors and locals will find other options for fireworks and partying, when the Plaza Hotel & Casino stages multiple locations on their rooftops for its annual spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks display as Fremont Street Experience rocks the night away with nonstop entertainment. Here’s a breakdown of some of the hottest New Year’s Eve events happening in Las Vegas.
Plan to party hard all night long at the 2024 New Year’s Eve Time of Your Life celebration in downtown Las Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience featuring live performances, plus onstage pyrotechnic celebration at midnight and a dazzling EDM stage under the glow of the Viva Vision screen. Here are a few things you should expect this coming New Year’s Eve event at Fremont Street Experience:
— It’s an adult–only, ticketed event. You must be 21 years old to attend.
— The seven-block Fremont Street Experience entertainment district in downtown Las Vegas closes to the public at 5:00 p.m. for the party.
— Gates open for ticketed guests with valid event wristbands at 6:00 p.m.
— Gate Entrance Locations: 4th Street & Fremont Street; 3rd Street and Ogden (next to Fremont Hotel & Casino); 1st Street and Ogden (next to Circa Hotel & Casino), and Main Street (next to Golden Gate Hotel & Casino & Main Street)
— No strollers, no packaged beverages, no coolers, no chairs, no backpacks/luggage/bags, no masks.
The famed Las Vegas Strip shuts down to traffic and becomes America’s extreme block party with 400,000 guests ready to party. At midnight, the most spectacular high-powered choreographed fireworks display seen anywhere launches from the rooftops of multiple casinos, ending with a big-bang finale as the fireworks and the crowd dance to Elvis’ Viva Las Vegas!
The entire four-mile Las Vegas Strip will be closed to traffic around 6 p.m. So if you’re planning on partying on the Strip, arrive early and bundle up – it could be cold. If you don’t want to get stuck outside, remember once the clock hits 11:00 p.m., the majority of the hotels on the Strip stop letting people in unless you have a room key. They reopen their doors around 1 a.m.
You can also get a great view of the fireworks from one of the upper floors of various Strip parking garages. Plus, if you can get there really early, any of the pedestrian bridges across the Strip will provide the perfect view of the fireworks.
