The Strip

The famed Las Vegas Strip shuts down to traffic and becomes America’s extreme block party with 400,000 guests ready to party. At midnight, the most spectacular high-powered choreographed fireworks display seen anywhere launches from the rooftops of multiple casinos, ending with a big-bang finale as the fireworks and the crowd dance to Elvis’ Viva Las Vegas!

The entire four-mile Las Vegas Strip will be closed to traffic around 6 p.m. So if you’re planning on partying on the Strip, arrive early and bundle up – it could be cold. If you don’t want to get stuck outside, remember once the clock hits 11:00 p.m., the majority of the hotels on the Strip stop letting people in unless you have a room key. They reopen their doors around 1 a.m.
