Saddle on Up and Ride on Down: Las Vegas Days Rodeo Return to the Plaza Hotel

The Las Vegas Days Rodeo returns once again to the Plaza Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, Nov. 10-11. Here, the best-of-the-best will compete in Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Riding, and, of course, Bull Riding – known as the most dangerous eight seconds in sports.

Las Vegas Days (formerly known as Helldorado Days) is an annual western-themed event celebrating Las Vegas’ wild west history. Featuring two days of rodeo at the Plaza’s CORE Arena, the family-friendly event is FREE, but be sure to RSVP here.

Las Vegas Days Rodeo guests can cheer on their favorite human and animal athletes, alike, while experiencing a classic outdoor rodeo. As the only permanent outdoor equestrian center in downtown Las Vegas, CORE Arena offers a setting that is so up-close and personal that a bucking horse may just cover you in dust – an exhilarating feeling for any rodeo-goer and a great Instagram moment, too!

Because the Las Vegas Days Rodeo is a PRCA-sanctioned event, rodeo-goers are likely to see some of their favorite cowboys and cowgirls riding again in December when the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo comes to Las Vegas for its annual 10-day extravaganza at the Thomas and Mack Center.

If you’ve never been to a rodeo, you can catch up on some of the most popular competitive events at Rodeo 101, Rodeo Terminology, and Livestock Welfare Rules.

So put on your best pressed Wranglers, boots, and hat, and head out for some rip-roaring rodeo action in downtown Las Vegas.
